Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Battery Engineer to support the design, testing, validation, and optimisation of lithium-ion battery packs and Battery Management Systems (BMS) for our solar-powered refrigeration and energy solutions
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with battery technologies, product development, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing, quality control, and continuous product improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with battery safety standards and engineering best practices.
  • Support the development, testing, and troubleshooting of Battery Management Systems (BMS).
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and product engineering teams on battery integration.
  • Analyze test data and recommend performance improvements.
  • Design, develop, and optimise lithium-ion battery packs.
  • Conduct battery performance, cycle life, thermal, and safety testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and engineering specifications.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of CAN Bus, UART, or Modbus communication protocols is an advantage.
  • Experience with battery testing, validation, and performance analysis.
  • 2 - 3 years' experience with lithium-ion battery systems and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
  • Familiarity with DC power systems, solar energy systems, or energy storage solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, battery pack design, thermal management, and battery safety.
  • Proficiency in CAD or other engineering design tools is desirable.
